Job fair in Camden for veterans
Camden County will hold a job fair for veterans and their spouses in Camden on April 13.
The free event, sponsored by the Camden County Board of Freeholders, will also include workshops to help veterans transition from military careers, said Rev. Floyd White, director of the county’s Veterans’ Affairs Office. There will also be interview and resume skill training, he said.
It will be held at the BB&T Pavilion, located at One Harbour Boulevard. The workshops begin at 8:30 a.m; registration at 9:30 a.m. and the Career Fair at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome, too.
At least three dozen regional and national employers with current job vacancies are expected to be on hand, he said. Camden County has about 30,000 veterans, officials say. This is the fifth year for the career fair, White said.
