Job fair designed for people with disabilities happens Monday
The Alabama Department of Labor hosts the first-ever Governor’s Disability Job Fair, an event specifically designed for people living with disabilities.
“Our goal is to bring in as many people as possible and put people back to work,” said Tara Hutchison, communications director for the department. “This job fair is specifically designed for people who are living with disabilities, however, it is free and open to the public as well,” said Hutchison.
The fair takes place on Monday, October 30, at the Bill Harris Arena from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Around 80 employers will gather with the mission to fill about 3,000 jobs, collectively. Hutchison says job seekers should bring copies of their resume and dress for an interview.
Pre-registration is available at www.labor.alabama.gov/jobfair.
